What type of activated carbon cartridge do you use? Activated carbon cartridges are not all equal. While most carbon block cartridges will act as sediment filters, they are designed specifically for different tasks. Some are specially good at reducing chlorine tastes and odours while others can reduce volatile organic chemicals. Cartridges with low micron ratings can also reduce pathogens and cysts. How do you know when your activated carbon cartridge is all used up and is no longer doing its job? Just send in 'before' and 'after' water samples to our lab for a free UV absorbance test to find if the cartridge is still removing dissolved organics from the water.
